I bought this book just because of the discount card for a local book store, Fully Booked. But I’m glad I did. Haruki Murakami never fails to deliver mind-boggling, deep, and meaningful stories. There’s something unique about his writing in the way he combines reality and the macabre. You’d feel the tonal shift from dark to light and vice versa through his characters. There’s darkness in this book alright – it gave me weird dreams.
